• Card auto select an empty account

When my payment card is set to auto select it tries to draw from an empty account when that is associated with the activity I’m doing. So when I’m paying the groceries it’ll decline the payments because the account is empty instead of selecting another account which does have funds.

Because there is no overdraft Bunq really needs a back up account system to avoid these embarrassing and annoying situations. They used to have a simple toggle to set the back up account for a cards but since they removed it there is no alternative anymore.

My main wish would be to bring back to backup account toggle but if this is not going to happen, please fix the auto select feature.

Kind regards

I'd love this - perhaps instead of doing the backup-option on the card it could have an auto-top-up-account associated to an account if that one goes over limit so the groceries-account would automatically gain enough money from another account to cover what's missing.
Or on a card-level similar to how curve has an "anti embarrassment mode" that can select another card if the current one is declined

I’m actually facing the same issue, I would love this feature!

then select the right account and not the empty one
