I have been a Bunq customer since 2020 and I really like the travel card that I still have.
Unfortunately, it is about to expire and I am looking for a way to get a replacement (physical card) with similar terms to my original Travel Plan. Previously, my plan was automatically switched from Travel to Easy Savings.
If I understand correctly, there are 3 options now (if we don't consider more advanced plans):
1) The first option is to stay on the Easy Savings plan. However, if I understand correctly, the physical card will cost €9.99/year. Can you tell me what this means?
1.1) Will a Master Card be issued, with a Credit type (not Debit), as was previously the case for Travel?
1.2) What is the validity period of the new physical card? Just 1 year? Or 4 years, as it was previously for Travel plan?
1.3) How does the payment of €9.99/year work? Is it 1 part at the beginning of each new annual period, or is it different? What happens if suddenly at that moment the required amount is not in the account, will the card be terminated?
1.4) Will my expired physical travel card be replaced free of charge as described here? https://together.bunq.com/d/1974-how-do-i-replace-my-card/3
“Did your card expired? Don't worry, the replacement will be free. You'll receive a push notification in your bunq app asking you to confirm your current address and a new card will be sent your way! ”
Currently the Bunq app offers me the option “You can get a new replacement for free. Get replacement card”. But when I enter the data to order the new card – I am redirected to the page “Upgrade to Easy Bank for 3.99EUR/Month”
How to use the free expired physical card replacement feature in my case?
2) The second option is to switch to the Easy Card plan. From the description I couldn't find much difference compared to the Easy Savings plan, except that Easy Card doesn't have the ability to make savings. Please tell me if Easy Card plan has any advantages over Easy Savings plan?
3) The third option is to switch to Easy Bank. It has some benefits, but I'm not quite sure I can really take advantage of them since I don't travel that often. However, there is a question, when switching to Easy Bank, is there a minimum amount of time that it is mandatory to use it? Or let's say I could switch to Easy Bank for 1 month and then go back to the Easy Savings plan? How often can I change plans during the year?
