What’s an eSIM and how do I get one?

An eSIM is an electronic SIM card. The eSIM service is provided through our partner BetterRoaming with 24/7 support. When you get an eSIM through your tricount app, you'll be directed to their website for managing your eSIM needs. You can now get one within a few taps. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. In the tricount app, go to Profile
  2. Click on “Get an eSIM”
  3. Follow the flow and you’re done ✅

You can also see a “Get an eSIM” notification on your 🏠 tricounts tab - click on the “Get an eSIM” button and follow the steps from there!

How do I top up my eSIM?

Once your eSIM is installed, you will receive an SMS from BetterRoaming that includes a personal link. This link allows you to check your balance or top up your eSIM at any time. Additionally, you can access this personal link via the bunq app by following the steps below:

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Click on “View my eSIM”
  3. Tap “View Balance or Top up”
  4. Choose where you want to purchase data from

If you have any problem with your eSIM, you can contact BetterRoaming’s 24/7 Support. To contact their Support, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Profile
  2. Click on “View my eSIM”
  3. Tap on Contact Support
