How can I get the Gewerbeanmeldung?

You need to go to the Gewerbeamt (Trade Office) responsible for your business location. It is usually part of the city administration (Stadtverwaltung) or municipal office (Rathaus). You can:

  • In person at your local Gewerbeamt
  • By mail
  • Online (available in many cities now)

You’ll need to complete the Gewerbeanmeldung form and provide necessary documents (ID, address registration, etc.).
