  • What happens if I move countries?

Currently my profile has my Dutch address. What would happen if I move to another country? Would I be able to keep my bunq account and just change the address?

    It would be the 8th Wonder of the World if you are able to move countries! 💪

      I only moved my account to Italy and back for one night. Nothing happened as I expected.

          Everybody living in the European Economic Area (EEA) can open an account at bunq! 🌍

          So as long as you move to another country within the EEA you should be golden. 🌈
          If you’ve got a question about a specific country or want some advice regarding your bunq account when migrating to another country, you could always send a message to the bunq support team using the Private Matters chat. 💬

          In general it’s just a matter of changing your address. You’ll probably be asked to fill out your new tax information at some point.

            Yes you have to update your address when you're there (it uses GPS location). Make sure to double check with private matters that your tax residency has also been changed. That's the important part
