  • Changing Bunq free account limits and really going global

@Leal#70474 I am still having difficulties and struggling to see how bunq is worthy to pay for. The Apple Pay doesn’t work in DK, I can’t top up with a credit card my bunq account and when I do it I have to pay for the coin conversion between my danish bank account and bunq. (Others conversions like REVOLUT and N26 are better). However I can’t use Sofort or Ideal for payments, just regular and traditional bank transfers... AND the function to scan and pay bills doesn’t work because I live in DK, and neither I can’t link my danish account and bunq to receive my salary to it... furthermore I don’t have a business bank account and I had expectations for the update 10, but it is disappointing to see how many troubles are for the fact of living in a country with a different coin than euros, like Denmark.
And yes, I am still a premium user and trying to see the beautiful side of bunq...so far I am just paying the monthly fee to be entitled to use the debit card... also I am lately thinking a lot on the functions Revolut, N26 and Bnext in Spain have, for instance...

@Lander#70679 Pretty sure AP will work fine in DK if you just Google around a bit for tutorials on how to activate.

@Richairo-Olive-Badger#70680 Compleet offtopic hier... Maar dat zal wel geblokkeerd zijn dan. Dan moet je contact opnemen via personal matters en je vraag stellen aan de klantenservice van bunq.

@LH-Black-Wolf#70691 thanks for the advice :)

@Lander#70679 Doesn't google understand Danish or is there antoher reason that invoice scanning doesn't work?

I guess the main problem is that Denmark decided it didn't want the Euro

@JeroenE#70866 Yes, I don’t know why but danish government is always very special with these kind of questions...
Anyway, I am hoping that the update 11 will create a better conditions for all of us we live in Scandinavia or in another countries around Europe with another coin. Let’s hope :)

@Lander#70886 You can't blame everything on your government ;) There was actually a referendum and your fellow Danish said no. Or at least the ones who were then eligible to vote said no. It's not that we don't have these kind of people too, but fortunately(?) we didn't have a referendum about the Euro.

@JeroenE#70889 You are totally right ;)

@YTL#70492 I agree, I use the same system right now.

I would 100% switch to something in between premium and free, because premium is just overkill for me right now. If bunq were to offer a plan with 1 card, 3 bank accounts and a price of 3 euros, I would switch immediately and cancel my account with N26 and my traditional bank.

                    Hi All,

Thanks for sharing all your thoughts 💭, that is what we love here 👍

But, I want to prevent we start a price discussion again since this has been discussed many times before. See for instance this discussion.

bunq want you to have the best experience possible, so that is why bunq want you to use Premium, Pack or Business instead of Free. All the (new and) cool features are only present in the paid memberships. To be completely honest, Free accounts only costs money to provide... let alone if bunq would extend the feature set. bunq has a different revenue model so that makes it only impossible to compare bunq to other 'free' accounts out there.

Is bunq the best bank for you?
Well, that all depends on your personal needs/preferences and what you are willing to pay for it. Fortunately, there is much to choose from these days.

I will go ahead and lock this discussion because this is a duplicate of other discussions in the past. Feel always free to open a new topic.
