  • Collaborate / Life automation @ bunq ?

Hello, my name is Anton, i am a self employed developer from Haarlem. One of my long term life goals is achieving financial independence by generating semi autonomous systems that generate revenue for me without selling my time for money. I am not planning to become rich, i just want to work on things that i love to work on but sometimes do not generate enough money.

At the moment i am building a personal dashboard that gives me insight in all the cashflows that go in and out. I want the system to create forecasts for me, especially showing me what the long term effect is of small changes in my behavior, helping me to take wise decisions and do wise investments and estimate for me where i should be, financially over a set amount of time.

I also want to be able to define rules for cashflow, so when X comes in on account Y, book Z over to my mortgage account, put 21% in the VAT reservation account, automatically book the invoice for me and reserve some part for yearly spendings which you tent to forget about untill you receive the invoice and think crap there goes all my money.

I am not sure about the rules for the Hackaton but perhaps some people want to team up and try to win that first price together? (-:

What i have got so far is written in php and mysql using Twig for the views and Propel for the database.

@NUI-Boutkam-Blue-Hummingbird#70851 Holy crap that looks very nice, kind of looks like it could be the bunq online banking environment that’s desperately needed, but unfortunately doesn’t exist haha :) Is this expected to become FOSS?

Haha, thanks LvH, you make my day. (-:

I am not sure yet what i am going to do with it, for now i want to just make it much more usefull and maybe make it open source. Only it is build on top of an e-commerce system that i also wrote, i have approximately 20 shops running on it so it may be part of a larger project or it would be cut in half, really not sure yet.

@NUI-Boutkam-Blue-Hummingbird#70851 I agree with @LH-Black-Wolf#70853, it looks really nice. Great job!

There're always a lot of requests for an IFTTT kind of thing, so I'm sure a lot of people would love it if you could build something like this. I guess the same goes for a forecast system where you can tinker to see what effect it would have.

Depending on how you want to market it you might need a PSD2 license to offer this.

Succes!!

I agree as well, this looks exactly like what we would need! Good job Anton!

So far I've been doing similar kinds of analyses in a spreadsheet but I still feel limited in what I can do there. It would be so much better if bunq could implement some sort of statistics in their app (and in the far future on desktop perhaps). I've seen this feature being requested many many times on together as well, so we're not alone!

The IFTTT function would be much appreciated as well. This is not possible with the current systems

Thanks for all the feedback and compliments!

If people want to join forces or inspect the source / come up with ideas, i am free from the 14th of march as my current project is ending then. I can split up the code so it is only the financial system and place that in Git and we can collaborate. The code is easy to understand and well written if you ask me.

NUI Boutkam changed the title to Collaborate / Life automation @ bunq ?.

@NUI-Boutkam-Blue-Hummingbird#70851 looks very cool! would love it if i could run this om my own domain/site! please make it open source, so we can also contribute to it!

@NUI-Boutkam-Blue-Hummingbird#70899 Sounds like a fun project to opensource so people can contribute more easily :)

Really cool! I would love to use a system like this for financial management and automation.
