We’re excited to present you our renewed in-app investment feature - Stocks! With the bunq app, investing is straightforward and stress-free.

Note: The Stocks feature is currently available only for our verified users residing in the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, or Ireland.

How can I start trading?

To start investing, you first need to create a Stocks Account within the bunq app. The process only takes a few minutes, just follow the steps below:

Go to the 📈 Stocks tab
Tap on Get Started
Confirm that the account is for you and accept the Brokerage and Custody Terms
Voilà 🎉

What type of stocks can I buy?

With a minimum investment of €10, you can start trading right away. You can invest in the following assets:

Popular stocks - well-known, large companies that are widely traded.
Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) - ETFs allow you to invest in multiple assets at once.

What are the trading hours?

To make your trading experience smoother, we offer extended trading time frame between 08:00 and 21:00 CEST.

Note: You can place a stock purchase or sell order outside of trading hours. Then, it will be carried out as soon as the market reopens.

How can I buy stocks?

Go to the 📈 Stocks tab
Tap on the stock you want to buy
Tap on Buy
Select the amount you want to buy and tap Buy once again

How can I sell my stocks?

Go to the 📈 Stocks tab
Tap on your portfolio
Select the stock you want to sell
Tap on Sell
Select the amount you want to sell and tap Sell once again

Is there any fee?

For the initial 3 months after setting up your Stocks Account, you can trade with zero fees. Following this period, a fee of 0.99% will apply to each trade you make, regardless of whether you are buying or selling.

Keep in mind that if you’re a bunq Pro and bunq Elite user, you’re getting a discount!

bunq Pro users get 20% discount on fees
bunq Elite users get a 50% discount on fees

Note: Trade volume over €100,000 won’t be covered by the 3-month free offer.

How can I set recurring investments?

bunq Pro and bunq Elite users can set recurring investment by creating your own schedule or by automatically sorting your salary to invest every time you get paid:.

To sort your salary, follow these steps:

Go to the Budgeting tab
Scroll to the bottom and tap “Start Sorting”
Follow the flow to set up the salary sorter

Note: You need to sort a minimum of €10 to sort into a Stock or ETF.

To set up your own schedule, follow these steps:

Go to 📈 Stocks
Search for the stock or ETF you want to buy and tap Buy
Enter the amount you want to buy and tap Next
In the overview, tap Buy: Immediately to set up your schedule.

How can I round up your spare change into stocks and ETFs?

bunq Pro and bunq Elite users can round up their spare change into a stock or ETF of their choice using the AutoSave feature. Ready to start investing effortlessly? Here's how:
