With using a real credit card I can use deposits without actually affecting my available funds because the deposit gets cancelled and refunded before my card bill has to be paid. That's the whole point of credit card deposits. Without any mechanism to postpone deposits somehow this card is nearly useless. So thanks but I'll stay with my AMEX for now ;)

So this card is, in functionality, exactly the same as the current debit card - but is seen as a credit card by merchants? So reservations and payments work exactly the same way and the only difference is credit vs debit? Then the travelcard feels like it obsoletes the current debitcards, right?

Moreover, are these cards Apple Pay enabled in supported countries?

Somit wird sie auch z.b. von Firmen akzeptiert, die Debit oder Prepaid ausschließen.
Z.b. Autovermietungen, einige Hotels oder Kreuzfahrt-Reedereien.

Ik kan de creditcard niet vinden bij de passen aanmaken? Alleen debit is zichtbaar?

Is there still a reason to get the debit mastercard? It seems this is better in every way?

Really don’t understand the difference between the Travel Card and the MasterCard. “you get the overall usability of a credit card without the risk” what does this mean? With both cards the money comes of you account. Both are MasterCards so they should both work in the same places. Really don’t understand the different apart from it being a visually different card.

@Christiaan-Yellow-Falcon#93226 Dat is dus niet juist. De mastercard debit werkt ook; de borg wordt net als de travel card van je rekening ingehouden (eigen ervaring). Dan is dus alleen het uiterlijk feitelijk anders van de twee kaarten.

@Hidde-Silver-Wolf#93259 Dan heb ik toch een andere ervaring. Waar borg wordt gevraagd (dus een reservering van een bepaalde bedrag) kon niet met de MasterCard. Check de uitleg van Bunq daar staat precies wat ik schreef en heb ervaren. Met de TravelCard zou dit wel kunnen.
