Iâm a premium user that currently owns two cards. When I navigate to âcardsâ, the app mentions my membership âincludes 1 additional cardâ. When I try pre-ordering the travel card, the summary before confirming mentions a one-time fee of âŹ9 though - is this correct and intended?
@atb#93283 No. That's only when it's the fourth card or above, three active cards are included in your membership. đ
@Xander#93279 In my experience, if its an old terminal the debit works exactly as a creditcard (I even had to put down my signature in some places), for others I would be asked on the terminal whether my card was Debit or Credit. Both choices would work (I tried), its just another route to the same process I guess..
I can only see a human refusing the Debit card as it reads Debit on the card, but it could just be me. Bunq imo is really vague on the differences between these two cards, as for the Debit card they also always said 'it also works for hotels and car rentals but they will hold a deposit on your account'. But usually when the differences are really vague, there are no real differences..? :)
@Rene-Pink-Turtle#93089 Depends. If you had trouble with getting the debit card accepted in some cases, yes it could be useful.
But in essence it is still a debit card and a despot is still deducted immediately. So it freezes up your cash.
The real difference is not really clear to me, for example why this card would be better accepted by merchants and in which use cases. As long as that is not cleat & guaranteed I see no point in switching.
@Silver-Dragon#93309 Typos đŹ
@Kevin-Olive-Starfish#93304 Nvm Mastercard is ermee gestoptđ
@Emile#93286 I have the same issue...iâm on a joint membership with 1 Card still available đ
If I request travelcard howling it will take before we can receive the card
I'm traveling to USA on wednesday ?
@Emile#93286 The Travel Card will be free of charge if you have less then 3 active cards (Premium/Business) or less then 4 if you have Joint. bunq confirmed that and it is also mentioned this way in the new price sheet.
@Elise#92880 Whatâs the difference between the bunq Travel Card and the debit Mastercard?
The bunq Travel Card will be the best card option for worldwide traveling. With it, you get the overall usability of a credit card without the risk that comes along with credit.
You can use it when traveling for hotel reservations, car rentals and all other payments that require a deposit. This means larger merchant acceptance and more convenience on your holiday.
