@Rinze-Golden-Unicorn#93682 It’s actually just a pre-authorisation or temporary ‘block’ on the funds. What’s not clear to me is how this element works with the new Bunq Travel Card!? Is the money kept in escrow or frozen from our accounts or paid to merchant!? Perhaps Bunq can clarify...
@Mark-Blue-Shark-3137357496#93685 From the Terms and Conditions I understand that the money is put aside until the end of the month (or billing period basically). When you generate account statements you will see that the amount is not deducted yet from your account, but the "amount available" will be lower than that total amount. From this I understand that the money is temporarily held by bunq, and then at the end of the cycle processed. I'm not entirely sure about the correctness but this is what I make of the T&C. 🙂
Warum also tauschen?
@Rinze-Golden-Unicorn#93693 Steht in den FAQS.
@Steffen-Blue-Dolphin#93489 Yeah, most European airlines accept debit cards these days, but American airlines often require credit cards. I was on a lengthy Air Canada Rouge flight recently and my poor seat neighbour couldn't get anything to eat as she had only a debit card & cash, but the only accepted form of payment were credit cards.
So depending on where you travel/pay by card you might not need the new travel card. I for one welcome a product that is more widely accepted in regions outside of Europe.
A shame that Bunq doesn't provide a timeline for this product to become available though.
Hoe kan ik een Travel Card aanvragen
@Hendrikus-Navy-Swan#93706 Update your app and order it. 👍
Kunnen bedrijven hier ook op storten. Met de debet kaart kan dat niet?
@Jacob-Blue-Jaguar#93720 It's also in general possible with the debit card. Some companies in some countries may choose not to do so with debit cards, but it is possible.
@krmkrx#93099 Hey Karim, i invite you to read terms and conditions of use for bunq, so when you have more than 3 physical cards linked to your bunq account, you will be charged with 9€ for each new card ordered , and an additional cost of 3€ (monthly). Reading T&Cs is very important before opening an account or subscribing to a plan with any bank, and neobanks are no exceptions to that.
This is awesome, I was waiting for this!
While competitors are still running on pre-paid cards Bunq comes out with a smashing competent solution.
Well done guys, I've already order mine!
Having a joint account i‘m not allowed to order more cards. Freezing one card does also not help. Joint accounts get prompted to update to premium. What solution do you provide for joint accounts besides updating to premium?
