Marcelo Voor de winkeliers is de Travel Card een credit card dus in principe kan je er alles mee wat je met een andere credit card ook kan bij die winkelier.

josemarq Dat staat bij mij ook, dat de kaart verwacht wordt rond 19 juni. Dat Apple Pay op die kaart pas op zijn vroegst eind juli beschikbaar zal zijn voor deze kaart was echter bij het pre-orderen nog niet bekend volgens mij. Ik wilde nu juist met de Travel Card de Master Card debit Card vervangen, nu zit ik alsnog met meer passen dan ik eigenlijk wilde.

Michiel Hey Michiel, it’s AWESOME that bunq didn’t put a signature field. I wasn’t sure about it because it just could have been a design issue on the app.

josemarq that depends, when you haven't done anything with the Travel membership you can still downgrade to Free. As far as I know it's similar to when bunq introduced Premium; once you went for the new plans you could not go back. So, as far as I know you can freely move between Premium and Free (under the old terms) but as soon as you use the Travel plan you'll fall under the new terms and can not use Free anymore. 🙂

In short; it only applies to new customers, so it is not really without notice. 🙂

Sander Zo heel duidelijk is de communicatie van bunq echt niet. Jij schreef zelf gisteren nog dat mensen met een bestaand Premium abonnement wel terug naar Free konden gaan (zie hier Sander). Dat heb je ondertussen wel verbeterd, maar ik vind dat soort zaken echt niet vallen onder het kopje "duidelijke communicatie".
En waarom kan bunq dat soort grote wijzigingen niet gewoon zelf duidelijk plaatsen maar moeten mensen er zelf achter komen dat die optie verdwenen is? Tot vorige week stonden er gewoon teksten op de site van bunq dat je 30 dagen gratis kon proberen en altijd terug kon naar Free. Blijkbaar heeft bunq er geen moeite mee om zich niet aan hun woord te houden en komen er straks mensen achter dat ze helemaal niet naar Free kunnen gaan.

josemarq according to our information the new plans (including the removal of "Free") only applies to new customers. But we're having a discussion about it within the moderator team now as well. We'll ask our contact and we will make sure to get back about this as soon as possible. 😁

Sander the free plan has been fully removed a downgrade to free is impossible a bit lack communication of bunq without any notice, it’s only possible to switch between pack , premium , travel , joint.

josemarq Philip I received an answer from a Product owner at bunq. The Free plan is discontinued completely. This applies to all users. Only those that are already on Free can keep using it. But there is no way to go back to Free once you leave that plan by upgrading to some other plan. Let's us know in case anything else is unclear, we will make sure to address it at bunq's side. 🙂👍

Philip we've received mixed info on this point, it seems removed completely indeed, but in this topic it mentions this applies to when you've switched to the Travel plan. Anyway, we're trying to figure it out and will let you know as soon as we get an answer. 😁

Sander I have my fingers crossed for a mixup and the Travel Plan is actually the Free Plan + Travel Card 🤞

I won’t be switching from Premium, but it would be the killer setup to get people over from competitors 👍

So if I understand correctly I can switch to a free membership with a travel card, so I’ll keep my account and get a card for a one time fee?

John Do It now says that ‘travel pack’ is a membership though. It says it’s free but I only have to pay a one time fee for the card.

René Sorry Rene, I misunderstood you. Yes, you are right. When you change to Travel Card 💳 membership.. you don't have a monthly fee and yes you have a card 💳.

But keep in mind that Travel Card membership isn't a regular bank account like all the other memberships. To put it simple, you will have a card 💳 you can add money to. That's it. A cool card 💳 tho.

Ahh fair enough, seemed to good to be true to have a free account with card ;). It’s a good move to cancel the free subscription, as bunq can focus more on their premium members now :)
