My guess: Bank licenses in multiple countries so you can get local IBAN accounts

        1. It's obviously Black Friday related, can't be a mere coincidence that countdown ends next Friday midnight.
        2. It's on their homepage, so it targets new customers at least as much as current customers. Or even more.
        3. Garmin Pay, Samsung Pay, DE IBAN... these are nice additions, but they are niche features and not worth the hype for most users.

        Some random guesses: X% cashback for Black Friday purchases? New promo-plan?

        And a dev tidbit / suggestion for bunq: maybe you should readjust the countdown to use a server-controlled date. At the moment it's purely based on the client's clock. And I suppose you want to reveal whatever is coming for all users at the same time. Btw I adjusted my OS date to 28.11 and the countdown zeroed. Fortunately no redirects or content loading after that, which means that the client's countdown is purely cosmetic (good), or that you simply haven't finalised the new landing section yet.

                              @Robert-Silver-Turtle-4265395482#133964 I think it's not for bunq themselves, but I would imagine a partner ship with a German bank would be possible, e.g. the same way TransferWise does it with their EUR accounts and the German Handelsbank.

                                Lets try to keep it somewhat on topic here everyone. Speculation is fine and let your imagination run free, but please keep this topic open for others to join and refrain from repetitive discussions about certain subjects. For that we have plenty of exising topics or create a new topic when you think it isn't there yet.

                                  Ich glaube langsam das ist sehr riskant ist „etwas Großartiges“ anzukündigen.
                                  Das letzte bunq Update wurde als das größte aller Zeiten tituliert, aber letztendlich innovativ war es nicht. Klar, es gab hier und da kleine Verbesserungen die ich im Alltag sehr schätze.

                                  Wenn jetzt etwas wieder so groß angekündigt wird und es am Ende nur der Schritt in die USA ist, ist es natürlich für bunq ein großer Schritt, aber nicht für die jetzigen Kunden.

                                  Nichts desto trotz hoffe ich auf etwas Revolutionäres. Sei es nun eine Ausweitung der Leistungen der Travel Card Mitgliedschaft, eine Black Friday Aktion die sich wirklich lohnt, oder sonstiges.
