  • @New-Peach-Fawn-3948548688#262312 I’ve noticed this too. Every payment is getting a lot slower. Everyone keeps saying things that make sense and could be true, however it now happens a lot and with different banks and payments.

Something is up. This can not be out of a sudden.

        • You ony tell us that something isn't working. For some code help you need to give some more information. Like on Stackoverflow.

The solution is easy. Don't use Klarna's Payment Methods (Pay Later, Pay by SEPA Mandate, Slice or SOFORT). They authenticate you, and for methods where you need a good credit rating (Pay Later, Pay by SEPA Mandate or Slice) they need to validate. It's as easy as that. If you don't want them to offer their services to you, please pick another payment method.

            • The Local IBAN system is nice. It's a feature a lot of people are waiting for, including me, and it would solve the IBAN Discrimination issue. Well, you won't fix the cause with this, but it makes it easier for the user.

However, it is not well thought through. The Local IBAN is based on your address, and not on the actual IBANS you are using. I live in Germany, but never switched to German IBAN's, due not wanting to lose the option to create Dutch IBAN's. Now if I want to create a German IBAN, I can't. It's not existent in the list of Local IBAN's. Only Dutch, French and Spanish.

Bunq should base the Local IBAN options on the actual IBAN's you are currently using, and not your address. I will not switch to German IBAN's. I only need one, which is still impossible.

              • @alexanderalise#227924 How can't you differentiate betweet those? I see a clear seperation of my Personal and Business accounts.

                • @caspar-g#222769 The virtual cards were limited already. There are no free withdrawals anymore.

                  • How can you create a German IBAN?

                    • @New-Magenta-Penguin-3653007269#216880

Since the 3D Secure process is here to secure your payments it would't make sense to MasterCard to create such a feature. I think it would't even be possible due to payment laws.

                      • Hello @New-Yellow-Turtle-894084032#216902

Bunq uses and utilizes the European Instant Payment system. Not all Banks support this.

                        • @New-Yellow-Panda-148851274#203645 Man sollte es auch überal akzeptieren. Es ist ein gültige MasterCard Credit.

                          • No bank I know shows the card number on a regular debit card. I think you mean a MasterCard Debit?

                            • Detaching the accounts like said in this topic didn't work. I had to completely remove the app and it's cache.

                              • Dit is een probleem die ik ook had. Ik heb ook een bug topic aangemaakt. De enige oplossing bij mij was de app compleet verwijderen en opnieuw installeren.

                                • Hello fellow Bunqers,

I just wanted to ask if anyone here experienced any sign in issues as well? It was a real fight for me to sign in today, which is very frustrating since the support is practically non-existent and I was clueless.

At first: biometrics didn't work. It just said that the code was wrong. Well fine, I can always enter my sign in code to continue. But that wasn't possible too! The fun thing about it is kinda strange: it signed me into my business account! So, to resolve that I completely removed my business account and clicked on "forget". However, this did not work either. The account was forgotten, but when my biometrics failed and I entered my personal code it still signed me into my business account, even when the sign in prompt clearly stated my personal account.

It took me a lot of tries, a complete app cache removal, deinstall and app reinstall to get it resolved. I found this very strange, and it is a bit irritating that it happens at times where you have very limited time to complete a payment, but you just can't. The web app was working, but it can't perform SOFORT and IDEAL payments.

The icing on top of the cake is that the bunq support is still very slow, and I did get no support at all. Any other bank would help me as soon as possible since my funds should be available all the time. And yeah, I know it is weekends, but in such emergencies I just feel that support should be a bit faster.

Does anyone else have those issues? How did you guys solve it?

                                  • So, let me start first with telling you that I'm not working for bunq and I can't give you any definitive answer.

I have a hard time believing that Bunq does this. They are very app focussed and I can't really see them doing this kind of stuff. It costs them a lot of time to process them manually. If they do it they will probably charge for it. It's better if you ask the bunq support. You can reach them under "Personal Matters".

                                    • Bunq is a bank, not a payment service provider. The idea is not bad but I think they should focus on the bank stuff first.

Bunq has some very good integrations. Check out some services like for example MoneyBird.
