We're excited to announce that as of today our Belgian users are now able to reliably and instantly top up their account in a few seconds and get their requests paid via Bancontact.
With this new feature on our bunq app, all our Belgian users will be able to get their requests paid and pay on bunq.me links in no time using their Bancontact app or card.
How does it work?
To top up your account via Bancontact you need to follow these steps:
- Click here or go to 🏠 Home
- Tap on 🟣 + Add
- Tap on 🟣 + Add Money
- Choose Bancontact
- Enter the amount you want to top up.
- Confirm the amount
- Choose if you want to use the Bancontact app or card to complete the transaction.
Note: You’ll be able to use Bancontact as a payment method if the transaction’s amount is higher than €5 and lower €10’000.
We recommend using the Payconiq+Bancontact app to complete the top-up flow. Besides that, we set an internal limit per top-up of €500. If you would like to add more money, you can! Simply start another one.
Who can use it?
Your bunq app will offer you to top up with Bancontact if your account is linked to a Belgian phone number or Belgian address.
