I'm surprised hardly anyone is making the point that we put our hard earned money on Bunq, and with that money Bunq can either invest, or at least have collateral to invest, or whatever business model is behind using our money to make money for Bunq, And that's all fine, but I should not have to pay for this privilege...
Banking services in the UK (where I used to live) are generally free, free accounts, free credit/debit cards, etc. Again, banks make money with the deposits we collectively do.
It's fine to charge a premium for special services, but if you just need a basic account, no cards (or perhaps 1 card), then why pay so much money, when up to 1/Apr it was free. Sorry, that's not making me happy.
At least look at Tesla/super charges, only NEW users will have to accept new pricing structure, while existing users can still continue with old pricing structure. That's how you keep existing customers happy, while being open towards new customers.
I hope by all these comments, Bunq will reconsider, but otherwise indeed we have a few months to look for alternatives and transfer out. I realize Bunq is hoping that many of us are too lazy, and simply accept paying the new fees, but hopefully those of us who are unsatisfied, will follow true with their promises, if Bunq is not reconsidering...
(and now let's hope my message doesn't get deleted again, since Bunq is playing games here as welll)
