@Gianguig#242874 By the way: this is not something unique to bunq. Apple Pay as a technology does not rely on an internet connection (and fundamentally works different to Google Pay, for example). If you have your bank's credit or debit card stored inside the Wallet app on an iPhone, then it's a standalone card and when you pay for something, no data connection has to be made to Apple or your bank's servers. The same is also true for the Apple Watch. All payment tokens are completely generated on-device.

With Google Pay, it works a little bit differently. Your card won't actually be stored on your device, but instead on Google's servers. Your phone then only retrieves payment tokens (10? I think) whenever it has a network connection and uses these for making payments. So even when you use Google Pay, you don't have to be afraid of a spotty connection when entering e.g. a restaurant with thick walls, but in cases where you have no connection for prolonged periods of times and you want to make a lot of payments, then you're out of luck with Google Pay. However, with Apple Pay it won't be a problem and it'll keep working.
