  • Problems with switching to easy savings

I am trying to switch to easy savings but it asks me to close all my subaccounts. I did that and now have only a main account. Shall I close the main one too? Where should I put the money? Do I need to close my card too? If so, how?

    @New-Violet-Lovebird-369716953#260517 You shouldn't have to also delete this last sub-account, but are you able to do this? Could you transfer this money to a different bank account from another bank, if you still have one?

    Otherwise I would recommend contacting bunq support: http://together.bunq.com/d/32181

    You don't have to close your card. You also have to close your card. Go to: Home > open your card > Tap 'Freeze' > More > Block

      Hi Maryam and @thijsoost#260519 ,
      I think also the card needs to be cancelled. The Easy Saving plan does not allow to have any card connected.
      Also Maryam, can you check if you do not have any additional sub account which might be hidden and yet not closed?
      (under Profile> Settings. There is the item "Visibility". Make sure all sub account are flagged as visible)
      Regards
      GG

        @Gianguig#260521 Oh that's true! Good one

          Thank you for your replies. I blocked my card too and am sure I have no hidden subaccounts. I can transfer money to another account but it is very inconvenient of Bunq not to allow it easily although there is a statement when opening the account that switching would be very easy and quick. It seems like a trick to me to force you stick to the payed accounts which I didn’t expect from Bunq.

            @New-Violet-Lovebird-369716953#260546 Hi πŸ‘‹,
            It is not a trick. There must be an issue with your account for which the advice from Thijs still apply.
            Please contact bunq support so that they can check your account and fix it.
            Make sure to provide support with detailed steps of what you try to do and possibly as many screen shots as possible.
            Good luck πŸ€

              Thank you. I decided to close my account because I’m not happy with the app. So I transferred the money to another account.

                @New-Violet-Lovebird-369716953#260559 Hi πŸ‘‹,
                Something that could solve issue… but not sure, is to delete the App from your device and re install it from the App Store.
                If you want to try unless you have already opted for account cancellation.
                Good luck πŸ€

                  Thank you. I think this account is very complicated and I prefer to delete my account

                    @New-Violet-Lovebird-369716953#260692 Bunq is indeed not your average banking app! The app offers much more features than other banks, and I love it!

                    If you find it too compliments and want to close your bunq account, check: http://together.bunq.com/d/18035

                      Hey there! What you need to do is open a savings goal and close your currently open sub-account. You can see how to open a savings goal here. Once you do that, you will be able to downgrade to Easy Savings. We will make sure to improve this flow going forward πŸ™Œ

                        @Nikola????-Navy-Bear#260803 This is so obvious, but I didn't think of it πŸ˜‚

                        Good to know for in the future!

                          @Nikola????-Navy-Bear#260803 Hi πŸ‘‹,
                          Good to know,
                          Really not obvious at all.
                          While the β€œdowngrade” improved feature is released, could someone from bunq update or create an official FAQ document?
                          Have a great weekend 🌈

                            Thanks, good to know indeed (had the same problem). Would be great if this is added to the FAQ.

                            Does anyone know if the IBAN of the new single-account is the same as the IBAN of the main subaccount before the transfer to Easy Savings?

                              @Reinoud-Grey-Jaguar#269364 There is no such thing as a "main sub-account", but I'll assume that your question is: "After creating a savings goal, closing all other sub-accounts and downgrading to Easy Savings, will the IBAN of the savings goal stay the same?" Then the answer would be: yes.

                                I am a bit puzzled by the different types of accounts. I am trying to switch from easy money to easy bank but it wants me to close a subaccount because I also have a savings account. But according to the overview the easy bank also supports a savings account???

                                  @Auke-Grey-Swan#273663 Easy bank indeed includes:

                                  • 1 'normal' sub-accounts
                                  • 1 savings goal
                                  • 1 joint account
                                  • 1 card

                                  If you're having issues, please contact bunq support.

                                    Hello!
                                    I want to disable the savings rate on my account, which I connected by accident. I don't understand how this happened. I didn't do it on my own.
                                    I want to withdraw money from the card as it was before through an ATM and pay on the Internet. Now I have a limit of only 2 automatic payments (These payments have already been exhausted for electricity and tolls). I want to stop using the savings mode so I can use my money.
                                    Please help me I really need my money.

                                      Hey there, @New-Mandarin-Butterfly-1359179203#282965 πŸ‘‹
                                      After looking into this for you, I noticed that you have a regular sub-account, and not a Savings Account, so you should be able to withdraw funds and make payments with your card. Here you can check your account's daily limits, and here you can check how to change your account's daily limit, and how to change your card's daily limit.

                                      In you encounter any issues, feel free to let our support team know, and they'll get back to you as soon as possible πŸš€
