  • More payment options for bunq.me

I don’t know if this has been mentioned already, but why not add the option to send SEPA-transactions or even SWIFT international wire transfers to the IBAN that the bunq.me-link is associated with? You could use a unique reference for it too, if that’s needed.

By exposing the IBAN on the bunq.me page it would make it accessible to all with the possibility of sending SEPA/SWIFT-transactions.

The UX will obviously not be that great given that the end-user have to copy the IBAN and send the transaction themselves from their own bank account because there isn’t a industry-wide standard (comparable to iDeal in the Netherlands) for requesting or initiating SEPA/SWIFT-transactions.

    I guess that the issue with accepting credit cards is the possibility of chargebacks whereby the payer later refutes the payment. That presents many problems.
    I believe that debit cards don't have the same safeguards.

    So assuming that creditcard acceptance on bunq.me won't be implemented any tome soon, it would be nice in the meantime to add debit card and SEPA to the bunq.me payment options.

        At the moment only iDeal and Sofort are offered natively which are not supported outside a few countries.

        The alternative is to manually copy the IBAN and make a manual SEPA transfer, which is... cumbersome.

        I’d love to see credit/debit card and, even better, ApplePay/GPay support added. Without this I’m afraid there’s too much friction for a lot of people.

        I understand that there are processing fees associated with the above payment processing. I’m sure I’m not alone in suggesting that I would be happy to absorb this cost for the added flexibility and ease of use.

          I really do like the simplicity of bunq.me links but these bunq.me payment links are still more or less meaningless to a lot of people within Europe.

          Yes, true, they might just open an account with @bunq themselves when both ideal and sofort are not available. But I guess not many will open a new bank account just to make a quick and easy payment right? As it is not a quick action anymore ( even though it might take only 5 minutes).

          So why not accept debit and credit card payments as well? This is one of the main onlinepayment methods with my friends in UK and Ireland for example. Or let’s add Apple Pay / G Pay as new payment possibilities for bunq.me. I think that would enlarge the usability of the bunq.me links.

            Zou het helemaal geweldig vinden als er een optie zou komen voor Creditcard betalingen. Desnoods zou ik er zelfs nog voor willen betalen.

              I live in Ireland so other option for me is quite necessary if wanna use it here.
              Google pay? Credit/Debit Card payment? Bank Transfer? Anything more than what is now as for me it is completely no use.

                Anche in Italia, attualmente è totalmente inutile! Dovrebbero aggiungere la modalità di pagamento con carta e Apple Pay!

                  @WJanson#537 Completely agree it’s about time now to add more payment options, to allow transfers from every country. Credit card, PayPal, GooglePay and ApplePay are all quite viable and usable options. Nothing Bunq can’t fix, right?

                        Wäre cool wenn Leute so bezahlen könnten via PayPal.

                        Oder generell das man sein bunq per PayPal aufladen könnte. Hab teilweise viel Geld bei PayPal durch eBay Verkäufe und muss dann immer erst 2 Tage warten wegen Auszahlung. Wenn man direkt rüber schieben könnt wäre das sofort da.. ;-)

                          Ben niet echt bekend met de standaard transactiekosten die bv. een PayPal of creditcard vragen. Iemand die dit weet?

                            Ich denke mal das wäre ja entsprechende Verhandlungssache mit den Firmen. Und denke mal bunq is groß genug um gute Konditionen raus zu handeln.. ;-)
                            Wäre jedenfalls cool wenn sowas mal kommt weil momentan muss ich immer 2 Tage auf die Gelder warten und am Wochenende sogar dann halt bis 3 wenn ich Freitags was auszahle ist das Montags erst da. Und das in einer Zeit wo das alles nur ein Mausklick wäre. ;-)
