• Usability works differently

Bunq is a good bank, at least that's my impression so far.

Unfortunately, this does not apply to the associated applications.
The Bunq app is a disaster, functions are hidden, so that you can only discover them after a long search or with the help of support.
The application is light years away from being user-friendly. Ease of use - not a thing.

Today I tested the desktop application Bunq Web. I could not even log in. The scan of the QR code did not work, the next attempt via SMS the same problem.

As innovative as Bunq is, it is not fun to use Bunq. I would have used Bunq Bank a lot more a long time ago if it was easier to use.

Why not easier?

    Diese Erfahrung kann ich glücklicherweise nicht teilen. Desktop- Anwendung mit Scannen des QR-Codes funktioniert einfach und sofort. Bunq bietet sehr viele Funktionen. Da kann es natürlich nicht alles für jeden gleich auf der Startseite sein. Welche Funktion findest du versteckt?

      @Achmed-Olive-Dolphin#272575 Do you have suggestions to make the app "easier"? I've been a bunq customer since 2018 and I'm pretty satisfied with the current app. Logging in on the desktop app always works for me, and in my opinion features aren't hidden.

        Welche Desktop App hast du verwendet? Falls es Bunq Desktop war, die ist schon lange eingestellt und wird nicht mehr entwickelt. Bunq Web App funktioniert aber super. Ich nutze es manchmal um Bankgeschäfte zu erledigen. Dioe Handy App ist über die Monate seit dem großen Bruch besser geworden. Kurz nach dem Wechsel der alten App auf die neue war es wirklich schlimm, aber so langsam geht es wieder. Nimm Dir einfach Zeit und schaue Dir alles an. Sobald man die Funktionen einmal gefunden hat geht es.

          I see your point. I like bunq a lot. But the development of the app is one of bunq’s shortcomings. The app, functional as it is, feels confusing and amateur.

          To give one example, when they updated to this version, bunq.me function was put in every sub-account‘s IBAN&BIC section. Took me a long time to find it because it’s not account-specific but an overall function. And once you find it, you start wondering WHY is it there? Under every IBAN and BIC? Why is it a part of IBAN&BIC block?

          The Green page and Profile page have the wildest UI design on my phone. Big letters, small letters, overlapping letters, big icons, small icons… It’s been better than when this version first released but still pretty bad. Now, why is developer’s tools at the bottom of the ‘Profile’ page while address book is in the settings?

          Bunq together has been removed from the app completely. Now I use my browser, scroll down two pages of important information that bunq pins upfront that I’m sure everyone reads everyday, to reach this forum and feel connected with the bunq community. But no worries, I get to watch all the trees that I planted in the app easily. I must love to look at them everyday.

          I trust bunq as my main bank account. I’m a happy bunq customer but I would really recommend bunq to upgrade their UI/UX designs. I also use other fintech apps or neo-bank apps and bunq has to be on the worse side in their app designs. It all works but is just not easy to use/navigate.

          I have provided all above-mentioned suggestions to bunq in previous user experience surveys.

            Hey 👋 I can’t really share your experience. Never had any issues with the QR codes. And especially the update to V4 brought a lot of improvements regarding the user interface community members asks for long. Among of them for example the more prominently positioning of the support and the possibility to individualize the Home Screen.

              @xiaoming#272593 I agree that things are at weird places. I hope bunq will do a overhaul of the UX somewhere in the future to fix that
