• Put the Cards back to where they belong

Yesterday's update added a new Cards section and replaced the Cards button in the bottom of accounts with QR Code.

I personally find this change extremely irritating since I almost never use the QR code scanner and if then only in non-time critical situations (e.g. Paying on a website with iDeal). Changing the link of a card and an account is something that I need to be able to say in as little time as possible since I mostly do this when I'm in front of a counter, paying for a product. After the update I have to navigate to the new section, seleect my one and only card and then the account, which takes almost three times as long as the old procedure.

I understand that breaking changes in the UI always lead to customer dissatisfaction but this change discriminates against a crucial function in favor of something bunq would like to use us more.

Please consider your decision to make the app less usable once more.

    Yes!!! Fully agreed!

    It's cumbersome, superfluous etc

I was expecting a short cut, not an extra layer.

In some other topic somebody asked a while ago to make a widget for swiftly swapping for your pass. This is the contrary.

If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

If it broke while fixing, undo the fixing.

    Bedankt!!

Yes please. You just made it take twice as long to change account for your card (it was bad enough as it was). I do this when I'm in the shop at the last moment before paying. It should be something you can do with one click from anywhere.

Also, please provide a widget or a notification that allows to change the linked account.

This is the most stupid update ever, I'm switching between accounts multiple times a day because I'm just carrying one card! These updates are getting worse and worse.

When reading the changelog, it seems that the Bunq team seems to think the change is in favor of card usage (more prominent position). It's not! I fully agree, changing my single card (with bunq, why carry multiple?) to one of my other accounts needs to be as quick as possible, it's a time sensitive thing. Paying online is not. Why not long press an account? Or just leave it as it was...

Changing accounts at the payment terminals now takes longer than before. Seems like a lack of innovation @ bunq HQ. What's up?!

I always forget to change the card before I pin, and end up forwarding everything to the right account afterwards. I'd rather see bunq find a way to make that process easier (right now I split, then accept the transaction). As for the update, I can see how this makes things a lot clearer for new users.... But yeah, it's much slower for existing users.

Well I for one like the change. QR is typically used for payment, so you expect it near the Pay button. I remember being confused when I started using the app.

Why is it much slower? It's one extra click/tab compared with the old app (before this update).

                    Except it is not slower.

You just need to swipe from left to right instead of pressing the cards button now.

I like the change, as it no longer activates my camera when swiping in the app.

Exactly this. The change is just a click extra, with no profit at all, just a click loss.

Cards fall under a accounts(rekeningen), QR not. #logic

Just downloaded the old version again. 3.2.16.1 doesn't have the 'new feature'. I'm happy again!

You can stil press on the cards menu-item, if you dont like swiping πŸ˜‰

It's only: press menu-item "Cards" -> press "Connect card" at the bottom -> select the account..

I think everybody is OK with QR replacement. That's not the issue.

It's all about quickly switching when you're in the cue at the counter. That's where Bunq used to pass all the others on the left. Now you'll see frustrated faces. Unless frustrated faces is considered a positive advertisement for Bunq....

Wierd... I responded that this issue would be a dealbreaker to use bunq for me and then I get a message it was "moderated"?!

                                Hey there!

We archived it indeed because you posted your thoughts about it as a new topic instead of a reply here and it looked out of context! πŸ‘

Of course, we encourage you to express your ideas here! πŸ™‚

                                  Hey Bunq!

I actually really like the swap between the QR code scanner and cards menu. It makes more sense this way and the app doesn't activate my camera will swiping to Support, which makes the app run a bit more smoothly too.

I do think people are right about the extra tap it takes to switch accounts. In my opinion there should be enough room in the menu to incorporate the account selection in a visually pleasing way. Still, this update is an improvement.

Thanks for showing you're not afraid to make a change and switch things up for the better every once in a while! :]
