  • It’s just virtue signaling

    There are no trees planted

All the new features are irrelevant

Most expensive bank in NL, has the least amount of actual banking features

    • We would like to see our pension (private and state) in the app.

      Thank you

      • Currently there is no warning or asking of consent, once you click trough any of the premium features. They are activated without any indication that there will be a charge to the account.

After a month you will see your bank account charged.

Since there was no consent given to any of the charges this is wrong!

I contacted customer support about it and they claim that there is consent involved, clearly they do not use the app.

I don’t know the reason, either to avoid apple in-app purchase policy or to trick users into paying, either way this is wrong and should be corrected!

        • @Esther-Orange-Unicorn#192124 Yes just get rid of those numbers altogether, the tree cutting companies plant more trees than anyone else anyways

          • @Esther-Orange-Unicorn#192009 Let’s do an example calculation:

You spend €100, of which ~2% are transaction fees. Bunq takes about 1% which is €1.

They send 5% of this to a tree planting NGO, that’s €0.05.

The NGO uses 80% of this to maintain it’s operations and is left with €0.01.

With that they go and buy tree seeds, which costs about €0.01 a seed if you buy it by the thousands.

So every seed = 1 tree planted.

            • @Esther-Orange-Unicorn#192009 It is an estimate because the NGO where your money ends up spends about 70-80% of it on salaries, rent, etc. So it really depends if you calculate it with 80% or 70% your total numbers will be different

              • @Esther-Orange-Unicorn#192009 One is estimated by their engineering team and the other by their marketing team.
The marketing team’s estimate is higher because higher numbers are good for marketing.

For every 100 eur transaction they estimate 1 tree planted. The marketing team estimates it for every 99.1 eur transaction.

I transferred to my friend 1k eur so I have already planted 10 trees.

                • The reason the 2 numbers are different is because there isn’t a way to actually tell how many trees you’ve planted, it’s more like an estimate and the two numbers are estimated differently

                  • Yes, this is the best request ever

                    • Hi,

I would like to have the ability to declutter the screen like in the screenshots attached.

                      • You need at least €50 to plant a tree 🌳, can’t be lower than that I guess 😅
