• Pricing bunq.me card payments - 2,5%

@Ricardo_#154423 due to PSD2 regulations we had to change the way we charge fees for card payments on bunq.me

Nice to know, yeah that was kinda expected. However the fee for the sending party used to be 0,5% until now. Is there any explanation or reasoning for the change to 2,5% ?

    Are we able to disable credit card payments on our bunq.me page then? I still would like to be paid back the full amount when people use that link 😅

      @soap#154452 I really think that 2.5% is for who is paying you with credit card. You will still receive the full amount

          They are losing the trust of their users, apart from the fact that it is illegal.

            @NIKEBOSS#154487 Yeah, I was kinda expecting that we still get an e-mail about the new pricing document. So far I haven't received one. As this particular pricing change doesn't go into effect until 6th of June (or 2nd of June? Tom and Ricardo mentioned different dates here), maybe they'll still send out an e-mail in the next days.

We did our best to keep you free from this charge but it was also our bunqers who alerted us that this wasn’t aligned with PSD2 regulations. We believe that 2.5% is a fair price for a feature that you can’t get anywhere else so easily 👍🏼

                  @Ricardo_#154666 2,5% ist fair? Gab es Änderungen in der Geschäftsführung? Den anders ist das aktuelle verhalten kaum zu erklären. Möglich dass man diese Funktion nicht so einfach bekommt, aber für 2,5% kann ich gerne darauf verzichten. Bravo.

                        @Ricardo_#154666 Ik vind het behoorlijk storend dat jullie zo maar besluiten dat ik genoegen moet nemen met 97,50 als ik een betaalverzoek aanmaak voor 100 euro. Als ik 100 euro wil ontvangen dan wil ik 100 euro krijgen en niet maar 97,50.

                        Bovendien willen jullie nog steeds niet vertellen wat er gebeurd als de ander dan een refund aanvraagt.

                            Op deze manier zijn de bunq.me links niet bruikbaar meer als je deze naar een vreemde wilt sturen (b.v. bij verkoop via Marktplaats). De betalende partij ziet immers niet dat hij de ontvanger op kosten jaagt en nog voor een flink bedrag ook, wanneer hij besluit met credit card te betalen. Ik heb er begrip voor dat dit niet kosteloos kan, maar bunq moet gebruikers dan wel de mogelijkheid geven om de credit card mogelijkheid uit te schakelen bij het sturen van een betaalverzoek.
                            Anders moet ik van pure armoe weer Tikkie gaan gebruiken en we weten allemaal hoe bunq hierover denkt. 😉 Bovendien is dat net iets minder instant.

                                @Mtouch#156959 Dat niet alleen, een chargeback met een CC is zo gedaan. ;) En gezien MP vol oplichters zit is dat nogal een risico. Voor marktplaats wil je echt uitsluitend iDeal, hehe...

                                    @Tim#156977 Only for chargebacks for fraudulent reasons, but not for any other type of reason the cardholder can claim. And there are a couple, hehe.
