  • Can confirm, bug is still present! Latest version on iOS.

    • @Ricardo_#154666 Can you also answer my question about disabling card payments for bunq.me then?

      • Are we able to disable credit card payments on our bunq.me page then? I still would like to be paid back the full amount when people use that link šŸ˜…

        • Does all money spending count towards the amount for planting trees or only ā€œcardā€ payments? As in: does paying with ideal, direct debits and IBANs (for invoices/utilities etc) count too?

          • @Sander#128947 Lol. Handy :) thanks for the explanation; I just found it weird. Since it was also gone on mobile (the topic even moved down in the overview since the ā€˜ā€œlatestā€ post was older) and now itā€™s not. But enough offtopic šŸ˜

Kudos to bunq for giving us a toggle option, I know itā€™s a hard choice between keeping the app simple and at the same time personalized. šŸ‘

            • @Sander#128933 Funny. I deleted my comment within 5 minutes of posting (with no reply from you) since I thought about it again and found the same. I checked it again after x minutes on mobile and indeed it was gone with no fresh posts. Now my comment is ā€œundeletedā€ by ā€˜someoneā€™ to let you tell this message anyway?

              • Sure. Iā€™ve also contacted support. Will pro-actively film it as well and send it then :)

                • I am seeing this too. Seems like network requests take way longer than they used to. Logging in Ć”nd events, both are slower.

                  • My 2 cents on this are: the ā€œMassInterestā€ is just some calculated discount on your Premium subscription cost, but marketed as ā€œinterestā€. Since itā€™s capped at a maximum of 10k (or 2,5k for pack members), this just builds the case that itā€™s a plain discount marketed as some ā€œmassive interest X times more than regular banksā€. Less subscription cost per person on a pack; so less discount. šŸ˜‹
                    Itā€™s still cool tho šŸ‘Œ

                    • Echo echo, please donā€™t abuse the notifications system! Itā€™s really hard for apps to build trust for the permission, it only takes one notification to lose it. Please bunq, consider the privilege, donā€™t abuse it for cheap growth tactics.

                      • @Willebrordus-Aquamarine-Badger#56847 Try to long-press the profile button in the bottom tab, you should be able to switch that way as well (at least on iOS)

(ironically I used the wrong profile to post this :p)

                        • Little caveat is, if I recall correctly, that the terminal itself needs to be online -or- you need to have used the card previously on an online terminal to let the card know it may enable its magnetic stripe. In the scenario I had the terminal was offline and without pin (magstripe).

                          • @Ramsy#51504 Yes, that is the problem. I noticed this too in a parking garage in Germany when trying to use the card. You canā€™t input a pin so it tries to read the magnetic stripe on the card, which is blocked in the EU. You were able to enable this on your own, but that option is now gone. bunq tries to be smart about it by enabling it when you use it in the US, but sometimes we need this in the EU as well.
Therefore, also like others mention in this topic, you still need a ā€˜backupā€™ creditcard to actually handle all payment situations... I hope bunq gets it right in the future though!
