A bank statement is an overview of all of the transactions you've made with your bunq account (IBAN) over a select period of time.

You may need one from the government when tax season rolls around, or even just to have for your own personal administration. You can also use the bank statement as proof of ownership because it'll show your full name and IBAN 📄

How do I export a statement?

Follow the steps below to export a bank statement:

Go to 👤 Profile
Select Accounting
Select Export Bank Statement
Enter the time period you want the statement for and select your preferred format (PDF, CSV or MT940)
Tap on Export Statement

Note: Keep in mind that we won't be able to export a bank statement for you if your account is unverified. To export a statement make sure to verify your account in just 5 minutes

How do I export a statement from a Bank Account?

You can also export a bank statement for a specific Bank Account through the Bank Account's settings! Simply follow these steps to do so:

Go to 🏠 Home
Select the Bank Account in question
Click on ⚙️ Settings
Click on 🟢 Export statement
Enter the time period you want the statement for and select your preferred format (PDF, CSV or MT940)
Tap on Export Statement

How do I export a statement on bunq Web?

Just follow these easy and fast steps:

Go to https://web.bunq.com
Click on the Bank Account
Go to ⚙️ Settings
Click on Export statement
Select date and format
Export

How do I export a statement for my closed Bank Account?

Go to your 🏠 Home tab
Scroll down and tap on "Archive"
Tap on Bank Accounts
Select the Bank Account in question
Tap on 🟠 Export Statement

How do I export a statement with the payment's attachments?

If you've attached images to a payment event in the app, now (as of version 22.12) you can export a bank statement which contains the attached file! Want to include the attachments in the bank statement? Simply click on the "Include Attachments" toggle and export the statement afterwards ✅

Keep in mind that this feature is applicable only for PDF statement exports and currently the only attachments supported are images [picture formats].

Do you need a different statement?

Annual statement with an overview of all your bunq IBANs for the previous year.
Statement for a single transaction. This is useful when you want proof of a single payment, without other transactions being shown on the same document.
Card statement for all payments that were done with one card during a certain period of time
