A bank statement is an overview of all of the transactions you've made with your bunq account (IBAN) over a select period of time.
You may need one from the government when tax season rolls around, or even just to have for your own personal administration. You can also use the bank statement as proof of ownership because it'll show your full name and IBAN. You can learn all about bank statements here

I filled in the wrong email address. Can you resend the exports?
No, but you can export the statement yourself in the app and change the email address it needs to be sent to next time in the settings of Auto Export.
Can I export a statement for a blocked account?
Indeed, you can! Simply open the bunq app and you'll see a 🟠Export a statement button - click on it and export the statement you need.
In case you specifically need an Annual overview, you can do this in 2 easy clicks! Just go to 🟡Annual overview and select the year for which you want that overview. You can then open, share or download it 🙌
I have a Bank Account that is closed for over 60 days - can I still export a statement for it?
Yes. You should be able to see the Bank Account in your archived accounts and export a regular statement. You can follow these easy steps:
- Go to the 🏠 Home tab
- Tap on Archived under your Bank Accounts and cards
- Choose the Bank Account in question
- Go to ⚙️ Settings
- Export Statement
In what language can I export my bank statement?
A statement can be exported in any of the app supported languages: English, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish and French. In order to switch the language of your statement all you need to do is to change the language on your device.
Can I get an export for only one payment?
Yes, you can make an export for outgoing transfers, card payments, iDeal/Sofort payments and paid SEPA Direct Debits by following the steps explained here This single transaction statement also includes the transaction ID for SEPA Credit Transactions, Ideal and Sofort payments.
What's the maximum of statements that I can export per month?
There's a limit of 100 export statements per month per user.
What does the statement contain?
The statement has an overview of the following information:
- Account's holder information - name, address, and country;
- Account's details - as IBAN, BIC and type of account and closure confirmation (if closed);
- Bank Account's start and end balance for the selected period;
- Incoming/outgoing total for the selected period - transactions including counterparty information
- Bank information such as name, address and a stamp from bunq
The information included on the bank statement can’t be removed or personalized since the process is automatic. Keep in mind that this bank statement doesn't contained a sign or a stamp.
I forgot the password, how do I open the zip file?
You can view the password for the file in the email you’ve received from us.
Who's authorized to request a standard bank statement for my Business account?
Both accountant agencies and Directors of the company. If the request is submitted by the accountant, you’ll be asked for confirmation that the owner of the business is aware of the charge of €100.00.
My account has been created this year and the fiscal year is not over yet. Can I still receive a bank statement or do I have to wait for the fiscal year to be over?
You don’t need to wait, but you have to be aware that the standard bank statement won’t include the complete fiscal year. Also - if another statement is requested at the end of the year, you’ll be charged again.
Is my balance displayed on my standard bank statement?
No, your account’s balance isn’t included in your standard bank statement.
What to do if my account has been closed or there is insufficient balance on the account?
You can transfer the fee of €100.00 by using the bunq.me link https://bunq.me/statement with reference: Standard Bank statement for {Company X}.
