• Transfer not received from my e-trade account

hello there, was wondering if someone had the same experience than me. i have an E-trade account granted to me by my employer ( I am in Europe, my employer in the US). now after 2 years of non usage, i can finally disburse some money ( some dividends + some stocks i sold). i indicated my Bunq bank account as recipient for wires, and asked for the first wire on the 28-02, the last one on the 07-03. I didnt receive any money on my BUNQ account ( my colleagues all did) and when i contact the bank linked to my E-trade account in the US, they say they got one payment bounced back to them. the others, nothing. i really would need to know the reason of the bounce back, and above all, where are all the other payments? if I cannot receive them on my BUNQ account at least i would like to send them all back and find a solution. thanks for any clarity you can help me shed on this.

    @New-Ivory-Mustang-3167197291#290355 Did you create a USD sub-account (assuming your employer pays you in US Dollars), and gave your employer the account number of this USD account? Because a EUR sub-account can only receive payments in EUR. If your employer tried to send USD to your EUR sub-account, it indeed would've bounced back.

      Please note that normal bunq Bank Accounts are only able to send and receive money in EUR, in order to receive money in USD, you need to open a USD Local Currency account and have the payment made there [you'll need to upgrade to Easy Money to make use of this feature]. Otherwise, the payment will need to be made to your bunq account as a SWIFT payment πŸ’Έ

        thanks for your answer. i have some more questions related to this. i know some payments have been sent in USD, so that is the reason for non receiving the funds, if i understand well. What i need to know is, can i have somehow receive the status of the pending payments and / or to know when they will be sent back to them? like an overview?i have 0 visibility at the moment. i called few days ago and they told me that they only saw one payment rejected, for the rest nothing. i have an option to select EUR on their platform. so my question is, once all the payments are bounced back to them, and i want to ask them to try again > if i select EUR on each wire request, and they send the payment in EUR, will i receive the funds with my current plan on BUNQ? thanks.

          Bunq sub-accounts can receive transfers in the same currency as the sub-account. If you request EUR and it's transfered in EUR to a EUR sub-account, you can receive it.

            i have contacted them again and there is one payment that has been sent in EUR on the 08-03. i havent received that one as well yet. is that normal after so many days? is it just a matter of waiting? can i check anywhere on the app what is the status of it and if there are any issues? thanks.

              @New-Ivory-Mustang-3167197291#290382 It depends on how the transfer was sent. It was probably sent as a SWIFT transfer, these take 3-5 business days to arrive. So a SWIFT transfer sent on March 8, should arrive before March 18. There's no way to see the status, because the payment hasn't reached the bunq systems yet.

                yes, it was a swift. so normally, since the transfer was in EUR, it should hit my account before the 18th, is that correct?

                    the transfer has not arrived yet. i have contacted the bunq support because on the sending side, all went through correctly and it is now from the 08th of march that has been sent. i will be waiting to be recontacted by them to have news about it. anything else i can do in the meantime? it is an important amount of money and i really need to retrieve it asap. thank you.

                        since i really didnt get ay feedback for quite some time, and i really need to get that transfer, i have asked the sending bank to send a wire recall request so that the funds can be recuperated by them. it has been a month, i have given the wire info and ask for an update. we are talking about quite the sum. the sending institution asks me to inform you so that you can accept. can you please keep me posted about this and let me know when this is done from your side? it is really urgent right now. thanks.

                          Hi Linda - I have the same issue. I am waiting for a wire transfer since 25th of March . If you hear anything please keep me in the loop . I raised tickets everywhere and no answers.

                              Hi All, exact same issue here… I transferred a substantial amount of money (in EUR as a currency) from E*trade to bunq on 20th of March and still nothing… I’ve opened multiple payment investigations and support tickets, even reached out to bunq on Twitter but haven’t heard anything back 😣

                                I have submitted 2 payment investigations, now. Will keep you posted

                                  yes, E Trade for me too, and my other colleagues which have other banks have received the money. i got an answer that they are working on it, but nothing in detail. will keep you posted as well.
