As a business owner with employees, your time is valuable, and managing every task yourself can be overwhelming. Thatâs why weâve introduced the Employee Access feature - so your employees can handle their own tasks, giving you more time to focus on growing your business.
What is Employee Access?
Employee Access is a type of access to the Business account that directors can grant to employees with a verified Personal account. If an employee doesnât have a Personal account, the director can invite them to create one, and theyâll need to complete verification first.
Employee Access, managed by the director, includes:
- Employee card: Effortlessly track and manage employee expenses with individual Credit and Debit Employee Cards. Set spending limits, monitor receipts, and export detailed reports - while staying fully in control.
- Tap to pay: Turn your phone into a payment terminal and start accepting payments contactlessly with credit or debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
- Scan multiple invoices Team members can add their own receipts to the app, and bunq automatically links them to the payments they made with their employee cards. Stay organized, without having to do any extra admin work.
How can I grant access to my employee?
- Tap on your Profile in the top left corner
- Select your Business account from the top of the screen
- Scroll down and select Employee access
- Tap on đľ Add Employee
- Select the employee from your contacts list
- Adjust the Employee card preferences as you want
- Adjust the Tap to Pay preferences as you want
Note: Employees must have a fully verified Personal account to proceed further. If they donât already have a bunq account, adding them as an employee will send them an invitation, and theyâll be placed on the bunq Free plan.
How many employees can I add?
The number of employees you can add, depends on your Business accountâs plan.
- bunq Pro Business - up to 3 employees included in your plan
- bunq Elite Business - up to 10 employees included in your plan
Note 1: Each additional employee will cost âŹ3.49 per month, plus a one-time fee of âŹ9.99 for a physical card.
Note 2: Employees invited for Employee Cards are also eligible for Tap to Pay, and each employee counts as one. For example, if you invite Employee 1 for an Employee Card and Employee 2 for Tap to Pay, it will count as 2 employees. If a single employee uses both an Employee Card and Tap to Pay, it still counts as 1 employee.
How can I accept an invite as an employee?
After you get invited as an employee, youâll receive an in-app notification. Once you accept the invitation, youâll be able to review your employee card through your Home tab and use it accordingly.
How to order a physical card as an employee?
- Go to đ Home tab
- Select your Employee Card
- Tap on âGet Physical Card"
- Fill in your address details
Note: You will receive your card in the mail within 10 business days. You can also check the estimated delivery date by following the steps mentioned here.
How to block a card as a director?
- Tap on your Profile in the top left corner
- SĐľlect your Business accountâs overview
- Tap on Employee Access at the bottom of the screen
- Choose the employee whose card you want to block
- Disable the cardâs toggle
How to block a card as an employee?
- Go to đ Home tab
- Select a card
- Tap on âď¸ Settings
- Tap on Block Card
- Select đ§ Block Permanently
How to change card limits as a director?
- Go to đ¤ Profile
- Select your Business account from the top of the screen
- Scroll down and select Employee access
- Select the employee you want to change the limit of
- Tap on Employee card
- Tap on âď¸ Settings
- Adjust the cardâs limit
How to add receipts as an employee?
Every payment made with your Employee Card must have an attached receipt. If a receipt isn't required for a specific payment, you can simply upload a blank file or a screenshot instead.
- Go to đ Home
- Tap on your Employee card
- Select the payment you want to add a receipt to
- Tap Add a Receipt
- Select the receipt from your library
- Done â¨
How can I scan multiple invoices?
- Tap on the scan icon in the top right corner of their view of home
- Select âScan invoiceâ
- Either scan a receipt directly or upload multiple documents by tapping the gallery icon in the bottom left
- Finn will suggest which payments to attach the receipt to
If you donât agree with Finnâs suggestions, you would be able to choose the correct payment yourself.
How can I export a card statement as a director?
- Tap on your Profile in the top left corner
- Select your Business account from the top of the screen
- Scroll down and select Employee access
- Tap on the three dots in the top right corner
- Select Export Card Statement
- Choose the time period for your statement, select your preferred format (PDF, CSV, or MT940), and decide if youâd like to include the added receipts in the export
- Tap on Export Statement
How to remove an employee?
- Tap on your Profile in the top left corner
- Select your Business account from the top of the screen
- Scroll down and select Employee access
- Select the employee you want to remove
- Tap on the three dots in the top right corner
- Tap on Remove Employee
