This allows you to use it to the full extent and acceptability of a normal credit card, without the possibility of financial burden. This means that you'll need to add money to your Metal Credit Card before you can use it for payments.
Important Note: Starting from January 15, 2024, we'll no longer be providing our Metal Credit Card as part of our offerings. However, if you’re currently a Metal Credit Card holder and require a replacement, please be aware that the availability of replacement cards is limited.

How does the bunq Metal Credit Card work with deposits? 🚙 🏨
If you want to use your bunq Metal Credit Card for a deposit, such as for a rental car or hotel room, the merchant will accept your card just like they would a traditional credit card. Since no credit is used when making the payment, the entire amount of the deposit will be deducted directly from your account at the time of purchase.
This means you need to have the available funds in your account when paying the deposit. Once the deposit is released, you'll then receive the funds back in your account and you won't risk having a negative balance or falling into debt.
