Hey bunqers 🌈
You’ve used your Credit Mastercard at a restaurant, bar or for your public transport ticket and didn’t receive Cashback? There can be a couple of reasons behind this issue. For your ease, we’ve listed all of them in this topic!
Check your Payday settings
If your Payday toggle is disabled, you won’t receive Cashback. This toggle is automatically enabled, but it’s worth checking it. The sub-account you’re going to receive your Payday on is your billing account. Further information about how you can enable this feature can be found here
Merchant’s Category Code isn’t eligible
Cashback is earned on eligible payments, determined by the Merchant Category Code assigned by Mastercard. If the merchant has been assigned with a different Merchant Category Code that falls outside of this list, your payment won’t be eligible for Cashback.
You’ve reached your limit
There’s a limit of €500 Cashback you can earn per year. After this limit has been reached, you won’t receive Cashback even if the card payment is an eligible one.
The payment wasn’t settled or it was refunded
Cashback is earned only on fully settled payments. If the payment still wasn’t claimed by the merchant, the Cashback feature won’t be triggered.
Refunded payments also won’t receive Cashback.
