Important note: Starting November 1 2024, the Cashback feature will be exclusive to Easy Bank Pro XL users, meaning Easy Bank Pro users will no longer receive Cashback on Credit Card payments. However, any payments made with your Credit Card before/on October 31, 2024, will still be eligible for Cashback.

What is Cashback?

Simply by using your Credit Mastercard, you can now get 2% Cashback on public transportation payments, and 1% Cashback at restaurants and bars! Scroll down to see how you can start earning Cashback today.

Who can use this feature?

This feature is available for all our Easy Bank Pro XL users with active Personal or Business accounts. You can earn Cashback by using any Credit Mastercard, including Virtual credit cards and the Metal Credit Mastercard (physically or by using Apple / Google Pay). Once you start making eligible payments, you’ll automatically earn Cashback!

As an Easy Bank Pro XL user, you can automatically get 2% back for your public transportation spending by using your Mastercard Credit. You’ll also get 1% back on restaurants and bars. So next time you’re taking the train or paying at the bar, use your Credit Mastercard and effortlessly get a percentage back!

Note: If you don't have active Bank Accounts, we won't be able to pay you the Cashback you're entitled to.

Yes, you can 🎉 Cashback can be earned abroad in each currency we support. Further information can be found here.

Do I need to enable this feature?

There’s no need to enable this feature. As soon as you start making eligible payments, you'll automatically earn Cashback! If you don't want to receive any Cashback, you can always disable it in your bunq Payday settings. To do so, follow these steps:

Go to 👤 Profile
Scroll to bunq Payday and tap on it
Disable the bunq Payday toggle
Done ✅

Keep in mind, if you disable bunq Payday you won't receive interest on your savings or Cashback on eligible Credit Mastercard payments.

How much Cashback can I earn together with my friends?

If you share your Cashback perk with a friend, you’ll earn an extra:

0.5% Cashback at restaurants and bars (every time they earn Cashback)
1% Cashback on public transportation (every time they earn Cashback)

Any Cashback that your friends earn will be equally credited to your account.

I haven’t received my Cashback. What should I do?

We’ve listed all the possible reasons you didn’t receive your Cashback here.

Good to know

You can earn up to €500 Cashback per calendar year.
If the payment is refunded, reversed, or if there’s a chargeback, you won’t earn Cashback on that payment.
If you’re earning Cashback on a Local Currency account and you close that account before the payout date, your Cashback will get converted to euros and paid out on your billing account.
If you're an eligible user but don't have any active Bank Accounts, we won't be able to pay you the Cashback you're entitled to.
