Looking to replace a card that was stolen or lost. You can easily request a new card within the bunq app! You have 1 free card replacement per year with our Easy Bank Pro and Easy Bank Pro XL plans.
How do I replace my card?
❗️Keep in mind that you can't order a replacement for a blocked card. This card disappears from your overview, as blocking is a permanent action. In these cases you need to order a new card.
Follow the steps below to see how to replace your current bunq card:
- Go to 🏠 Home
- Select the card you want a replacement for
- Tap on ⚙️ Settings
- Select Replace
- Edit card details (if applicable) and select Next
- Review the information and select Get Your Card
- You can Add your Card to Apple Pay or select Not now on the confirmation screen and you're all set!
Card replacement fees
- With Easy Bank Pro or Easy Bank Pro XL plans you get one free card replacement each year as one of your Wildcards. With Easy Bank card replacements come with a €9.99 fee.
- Replacements costs for Metal Cards come with a €89.99 fee.
- If you're an Easy Card or Easy Savings user and have a virtual Free Credit Card, it will be automatically replaced at no extra cost. However, if you have ordered a physical version of the card, the replacement will cost you the fee of €9.99.
You can request as many card replacements as you'd like.
This applies to cards that:
- Haven't arrived within 2 weeks.
- Did you enter the correct address? This topic can show you how to check if your address is correct in the app.
- May've gotten some extra wear and tear.
- Have accidentally gotten stolen or lost.
Already used your 1 free card replacement?
Anything over the one free replacement per year will cost €9.99 to account for production costs for Easy Bank Pro and Easy Bank Pro XL users. If you're an Easy Bank user the replacement will cost you €9.99 to account for production costs. You can find more information in our pricing doc here.
The free replacement doesn't apply to Metal Cards. Replacing Metal Cards comes with a €89.99 fee.
Did your card expire?
Don't worry, the replacement will be free. You'll receive a push notification in your bunq app asking you to confirm your current address and a new card will be sent your way! 💳
