1 categorie is abonnementen.

    • For my groceries, lunch at work, coffees, etc, I budget an x amount a week - let’s say €100,- which I want to have in a separate account that is linked to my main bunq debit and Apple Pay card.

Instead of manually transferring the needed amount (which varies every week) to get to the €100,- every time, or having a planned tranfer of €100,- to said account I wanted a quick and easy way to have exactly that amount in that account every week. For this I made an automation in Siri Shortcuts.

Every Saturday at 06:00 (so that I see it first thing whenever I wake up and check my phone) I get a notification to start this Shortcut, which then transfers the right amount to my spending account. 🌈

So if anyone might want to steal this idea. It’s a shortcut in the automation part of Shortcuts and reads as follows:

      {bunq} Show balance on [account]

{script} if [balance] is smaller than 100
      {math} 100- [balance]
{bunq} transfer money from [main account] to [account]

{notification} show notification [there is money on your account again!]

It’s those little things things that make bunq such an amazing bank, bet you can’t do this with your legacy bank :)

              • @Phil-Lord#147223 I just received mine (🎉). The back has a plastic layer on it (indeed probably to make contactless payments possible), but it feels really really premium and the card itself is made out of metal.

                  • @Heiko-Hartwig#147145 Voornaam.

                    • It’s probably indeed mailed basted on first letter of the card holders name. In my case a C. I’m founder two-hundred-something.

I received a notice that I will receive the Green Card tomorrow, and I see here that some people with an A as their first letter have received it already.

                      • I would assume bunq doesn't plant a tree immediately after you reach €100. But rather counts how many trees the whole community has reached in a certain period of time and then lets their partner who plants them know.

So then it's just a technicality, right?

                        • @Heiko-Hartwig#145367 I think bunq just sends an notification when you’ve spend another €100 now. It would probably be easy to amend that to a notification witch every €50, right?

                          • @Heiko-Hartwig#145363 They would still get the 1 tree for €100. Premium users would get a tree quicker instead of more trees one the same rate.

                            • Maybe it is just me. But somehow I would find the fact that you plant 2 trees instead of 1 per €100 spend with the Green Card if you are a bunq premium user sound more attractive if it were presented as planting a tree for every €50 spent.

Even though it comes down to pretty much the same thing, the difference would feel greater!

                              • Hi,

It’s not completely clear to me what is meant by an ‘offline’ terminal.

Does this mean it’s now possible to pay on board airplanes and the German IC train for example? Those where the only places I missed my old Rabobank credit Mastercard (apart from car rental companies, but I figure this mastercard still won’t work there now).

What would be other examples of places I could stumble upon offline terminals?

                                Thanks.

                                • Do you have your phone set to English or Dutch? I recently switched, and my form was in Dutch. As is my phone language.
